Here are some of the suggestions that  Google’s LSA  Support has given our team over the past 6 months that you too can implement in your campaign:
Â
1. How quickly calls or messages are answered and not missed.  If calls are missed or messages are not replied to, it counts against your profile “quality score”.  It is important that all calls or messages are answered.
Â
2. Coverage area needs to have cities listed first (especially for the near me searches) and then add in zip codes that aren’t coming up as a city.
Â
3. Pictures need to be added each week.  1-3 new images each week of work being done is what Google is looking for.  Images cannot have phone numbers in them, so if a vehicle has a number, don’t add it.  A business logo needs to be added to the images under Profile.
Â
4. Calls and messages need to be monitored, listened to, and notes taken.  Then they have to be marked Booked if scheduled or archived if not converted.  Once a job is completed, come back in the specific lead and change it from booked to completed and make sure to fill out the fields.
Â
5. Number of reviews compared to the other companies: once a job is changed to completed, a review request needs to be sent (which is in each lead note).  Once a customer leaves a review, it could take up to 2 weeks to be posted.  Reviews left on the LSA profile are “Google verified” reviews.  Downside is that reviews left on your LSA profile, will not be shared onto your Google Business profile.  But this is a factor in the “quality score” of the profile.
Â
6. Ad Schedule: This should be as close to the hours listed on their website and GMB profile.  I have been able to fudge the hours a little to 4-5 hours past the “office hours” listed on a website
Â
7.  Business Info needs to be updated, and you can only have 6 boxes checked from the Business Bio section.
Â
8. Messages: if the number listed can receive text messages, make sure it is turned on.  Also take a look to ensure your business email is listed on the account for email messages.  When you call support, you can ask to make sure the email leads are being sent to the correct email.
Â
In conclusion,
Setting up and managing Google Local Service Ads (LSAs) can be a game-changer for your business, but it’s important to follow certain steps to maximize their effectiveness. Answering calls and messages quickly, ensuring your coverage area is accurate, adding fresh pictures weekly, monitoring calls and messages, generating reviews, matching your ad schedule with business hours, completing your business info, and turning on messages for text and email are all crucial components of a successful LSA strategy.
By following these important steps, you can increase your visibility and credibility with potential customers, leading to more business opportunities. Remember, consistency is key when it comes to managing your LSAs effectively. If you feel overwhelmed or unsure about managing these tasks on your own, don’t hesitate to reach out for help.
